Day 1

Friday 6th July
Snow Business Balloon Festival (Stroud)

Jim and Rona have bought a house in Portishead, near their new factory, Jim is buggering off and leaving Rona to move into both. The garage on the house is difficult to enter so Rona keeps scraping the car. Because of the frequency of visits the local garage is opening a tab for her.
Met Jim and Rona at the Stagecoach, they followed as we used Sat Nav to find Ann and Nigel's place. Jane coming tomorrow she has a presentation at a Polo club she has also lost her voice, this could be interesting, almost the perfect woman!

Met Nigel and Ann Parry and left our luggage at their house. Then drove in a very roundabout route to Snow Business Mill which is situated on the Frome. Met Darcy and Louise, they got married recently in a no fuss private ceremony.

Darcy is still recovering from throat cancer and has to carry an intravenous drip for food
The radiation has damaged his taste buds and he has no saliva so he has to continuously drink water.

Watched Jim do the met, he decided that it was too windy tonight (Cheer from Rona!) and tomorrow am, but fly pm and Sunday morning. Rang Rob Bailey, Mark Mason and others to advise, most arriving Saturday afternoon.

Drove to Halfway House for super meal, £65 a couple. I had a salad. Jim and I played with the lift.
Then to Weighbridge Inn for last drink. Met local lady and one from Ashburton who were attending a Muslim wedding on Saturday. The Weighbridge specialise in Half and Half pies, they were probably made at the Halfway House.
